My tank has been set up for about 5 months now but over the last month im getting these small green 'disc' shaped things that grow on the live rock and glass. At first i thought it was some sort of algae but then i noticed they are actually alive and move! Im not sure how to describe them so here are some pics.
this is how they look attached to the glass:

this is kind of a blurry pic but it shows them growing on the rocks:

can anyone tell me what these are and how to get rid of them??

that web address doesn't work for me. Tells me that it is a forbidden and that I don't have permission. see if you can show a picture another way.
It may possibly be some kind of flat worm though, but hard to say without seeing it.

Since you have live rock, though, i'm not sure what else you have in your tank, you probably don't want to use chemicals such as Formalin or Malachite or even copper due to the fact it could wipe out alot of the living organisms in your tank.
Therefore you may want to try using a freshwater dip. if there aren't to many of them try using tweezers and pick them out.
In the future try to use dips, proper acclimation, quarantine tank for newely aquired corals fish etc. to cut down on future biological diseases.
Hope this helps though this isn't really one of my specialties!

if indeed they are flatworms, use salifert flatworm exit...probably your best bet. syphon as many as you can out first then follow the directions they give you...hth.

Hi sorry dont know whats wrong with the pics but now my digital camera crapped out :(
after some further investigation I confirmed they are indeed flatworms so I am going to try that flatworm exit.
