I will try and post a pic soon. I have an rodi system from bulk reef supply, just recently a fitting has been leaking. It's plastic, with a total of 4 push to connect fittings, 2 on each end with one labeled "in" ans one labeled "out". The out one feeds into the membrane. It's sort of round in shape with a rubber diaphragm inside of it.
A few years ago I removed the 2nd carbon filter and converted it to a 2 nd di canister. I also added a flow restrictor to the end of the out put hose so it runs 90gpm. Is it ok to bypass the unknown fitting since I have the flow restrictor?

It appears to be a auto shutoff valve,to be used with a auto shutoff system. If you are not using one there should be no need for it.If you were using one I think the correct place for the valve would be in the feed line before the first sediment filter.

    Let's back up a little.

That is an Auto Shut Off Valve, as mentioned above. Its function is to stop waste water flow when purified (RO or DI) water flow is stoped by some other means (like a float valve).

If you use a float valve without the ASOV, your waste water will run 24/7.

A couple of things you said in your original post caught my eye. When you converted your second carbon stage to a DI stage, did you rework the plumbing such that RO water is delivered to (rather than receives water from) your new first DI stage?

You also mentioned adding a flow restrictor. Hmm. Your system already had a flow restrictor. Did you add an additional restrictor on your waste water line? If so, what is your waste water to purified water ratio? Should be about 4 to 1. It's incorrect to adjust your waste water flow to try to hit a certain pressure or flow rate of purified water.

You asked about bypassing the ASOV because you added a flow restrictor. Yes you can buypass the flow restrictor, but realize the ASOV really has nothing to do with the flow restrictor.

This may get into a fairly complicated discussion unless you are really familiar with how your system is plumbed. If you have questions it may just be best to give us a call.
