What is this stuff?

Sorry I dont have a picture, but I just got my CUC from reefcleaners today and there was a white pouch thing which I didnt know what it was for so I opened it up and theres some reddish brown dirt looking stuff in it. Anybody know what this is? I'm sure John will get back to me soon enough but anybody have a clue?

 

If I understand you, you are saying that you ordered a cucumber and there was a seperate white pouch besides the bag with the cucumber in it. It was probably a heater so the water wouldn't get cold when it was shipped.

 

I believe it is some stuff to help with your tank bacteria... I forget the name but Im sure John will know

 

K+ on it being the heatpack,(i haven't ordered from there)but most heat packs do have a silcone based stuff in it.if you poor some in your hand,are they like tiny little beads?

 

check if its like lava rocks because I believe that is what they use for the bacteria

 

Its no beads, its like dry mud. It does look kinda like mud lava rock, I don't see how it could be a heat pack but possibly a bacteria thing. I have no idea how i would use it though.

 

It WAS a heat pack. First time I ordered livestock online so had no idea.
