    So its pretty dark purple, and looks like it could be soft. (Haven't touched it and not sure if i should) Take a look and let me know what you think.

    I think they are asking about the patch to the left of the foraminiferan.

    You're probably going to need to scratch it with your fingernail to see if it's hard or soft and if it stays or wipes off for an ID

    I was referring to the "foraminiferan". I'm pretty sure the red stuff is red coralline it doesn't wipe off. Im luck enough to have plenty of red and purple coralline.
