My husband started yelling at me to get over to the tank. He found this "worm" creature making its way around. About 2 1/2 inches long, white in color, with small black rings around it.

How bout a black ringed worm hehe.

Odds are it won't do any harm. I have tons of worms ranging from what you described to peanut worms and bristle worms, usually worms are a good sign of a healthy tank.

That looks like the same worm I saw in my tank for the first time today. I wondered what it was and if it was harmful. The few I saw were in my overflow.

So, the concensus is...the "Black-ringed Worm" is cool.
