So I've had my lights of lately in order to destroy algae build up. I turned my lights on for a second to see this moving in my sand bed. It's very thin but over a foot long. What is this?!?

It is a type of worm. Hard to tell much more without a closer pic.

It looks to me to be a type of worm. The most common worm found that gets to the size you claim are fireworms and bristle worms. But there are others that aren't so common that are sometimes found in aquariums, but it is hard to tell with this pic of what it exactly is.

Looks like the "snail trails" my strombus snails leave in the sand. Sand attaches to the mucus string they leave behind and the current blows them around.
