never seen it before, apparently it comes out of a hole in our live rock, wife said she thought might come out of a white tube thing but wasn't sure.

    It's the black thing

hi, those pictures look nothing like the pictures of the one in my tank

the black stuff in my tank is moon sand. I'm talking strictly the black worm/slug thing with the 3 antenna on its head.

changed the picture so you better understand what it is i'm asking about :)

the rock it was in wasn't important so we just took the rock out , we put it in a bowl of fresh water.

I would say it is a eunicid worm but i cant be sure... The part that made me think it when you mentioned it looked like a centipede... I smashed a rock last night to get mine out of my tank... They are deceiving on how long they are... Good luck with getting it out. Id wait till you see it hide again and immediately take the rock out.

I soaked mine is rodi water for 10 mins hoping it would just evacuate... It didn't so came the hammer and chisel...

Looks like a(n) eunicid to me, too. They have five antennae, so you probably just can't see all of them. The big ones are voracious predators, so it's good that you removed it.

    Cheers,

    Don

it broke into 2 parts it was about 5-6 inches long.

It was raining outside so i didn't bother with a picture that is 100% chance though it was an eunicid.

Turns out that my tank looks better with the rock missing anyway.
