Came home and saw this today, at first thought it was a yellow mushroom but upon closer look it looks to be a living crawling creature of some sort. No clue if its good or bad though or where it came from haven't added anything to the tank in a month or more.

Thanks for the help guys. No clue where it came from never saw it before, maybe hitchhiked on a coral or something?? I attempted to pull it off the rock to put into an isolation container until I could get a good ID but it sticks liek glue and the only way to get it would involve pulling it apart and probaly killing it so back into the rockwork it went who knows when I will see it again.

Is it anything dangerous?? I know certain critters eat corals or release toxins if killed

I would not remove it unless you witness coral damage. For me I would consider it a lucky find.

    See link below under limpets.

Yup, Lucapina species of keyhole limpet, Florida/Caribbean. I agree with Corailline, I wouldn't remove it unless I caught it doing something objectionable.

    Cheers,

    Don
