    Brown algae, probably from the kelp family and the red thin stuff is algae also. They are good for nutrient export. Some of your fish if herbivores might eat them also. They will be good for them.

    great. thank you. haven't found anything bad yet. I have no skimmer. No fish. so it's easy to maintain at the moment. just couldn't tell from some other pics
