Looks like a snail and appears to have a soft outer shell. It is almost the same color as the rocks.

    Any ideas??

Not sure what it is but I have one to. Doesn't are to be mobile but just appeared one day and hasn't changed any. Didn't lose it when I moved the rock to my new tank. Be interesting to know if others can ID.

I do too, and they they're a pain in the you know what for me. They get into my becket and clog it. It's gotten so bad, I keep and extra injector around and soak the clogged one in muratic acid. Dang pests. I only have that problem at work though, my system at home doesn't fluctuate enough to get them really breeding.
