what is this

    My tank has been cycling for about 3 weeks i bought some live rock and base rock last Thursday. I have some stuff growing on them can someone tell me what it is. looks like some type of hair algae. Another thing it looks like a brown twig and some thing orange on another rock. New to the salt water hobby I will finish off the lr and bs this Thursday. Hopes its a good thing i have some kind of life in the tank lol

    can anyone tell me what it is it is starting to grow like crazy on 2 rocks and looks like it's starting to spread on the glass. anyone

    OK will try to take better pics tonight one looks like hair algae i believe it's green and it's growing like wild fire over 2 lr. starting to get brown spots on tank. I will try to get better pics tonight

    Is it like green or brown covering that is growing ? Like previously mentioned the pictures really don't show much. I'm very leery of using L/R and L/sand myself I don't trust it...

    If you don't use liver rock and sand what do you use tangster? I have LR, tufa rock, and aragonite crushed coral.
