Can someone positively identify the green growth as well as the brown?

    Thanks in advance.

Looks like a type of Scroll Algae maybe Lobophora or Padina Sp. or Padina pavonica. The Lobophora can be a bit invasive unless you keep it in check. Once it takes over it is hard to get rid of.

The Halimedia is a good algae, it wont spread much and grows pretty slow. As RG said it uses Calcium but as long as you keep up with water changes and supplement calcium you should not run into any problems.

How do you keep it (Lobophora) in check?

Looks like Padina as mentioned. Manually removal keeps it in check. My tangs dont eat it, nor halimeda.

the brown stuff might be brown flake algae.it can look a little like monti.the green is a type of halimeda.its not bad but it can take off and use alot of calcium.my tank looks healthier when i keep it to a minimum.i just weed it out from time to time.

Pick it! Just be careful when you do and don't let any small pieces float away cuz
it will start growing where ever it land as long as its on a rock.
