    its a shame they are so difficult to look after - the red ones in my opinoin are stunning!

    after days and days of studying and reading and searching forms i think i have it down as far as caring for my goni. close watch of water par. and the correct trace elements mine is thriving. i think he grows daily. can you frag them? here he is awake!

    Yup!!!!! I guessed it right!!!! Gonipora was my vote as well. Something I tried to put under PCs and watched die slowly. I got it back to the LFS before it went down completely. Nice little freebee. Just be forwarned that many aquarists do not have good luck with gonipora. Six to eight months is the lifespan in captivity. IMO, should be left in the wild. Watch it close and practice good husbandry with it. It will take special care.

    thanks for the help guys. This guy has grown to this size from nothing I noticed in less than 2 weeks (when I set up the tank). I am just now finishing my cycle and watching him closely. At the first sign of die off he is coming out....
