    It looks like a piece off of my frogspawn, is that even possible ?

    Looks like some sort of bubble algae.

    btw I am talking about the fluorescent green piece, the dark green are pieces of chaeto

    Oooooh, I need to pay better attention :) It could be that your frogspawn dropped a polyp. As long as the coral looks no worse for it, I wouldn't be too concerned.

    found out what it is !
    they are tentacles from my bubble tip anemone !
    for the last few months the tentacles had been "stretched out", well, now they are separating and becoming short again, it's been doing that to one or two tentacles a day ! A whole part of the anemone now has short tentacles again it is kind of cool !

    I have never seen that happen.

    Do the tentacles that drop just wither away?

    they drop the last 3/4 of the length of the tentacle, the part that drops looks like the first 3 pics I posted up there, the piece that remains looks just like a normal BTA tentacle

    I guess I meant I was wondering if the dropped arms could end up becoming clones?

    Anemone's split down the middle if they are reproducing - check out youtube for some time lapse shots/video of them doing that.
