what is this??

    well my tank has been up and running for almost 2 weeks now. last night I was re-arranging some of my rock and I noticed this little red thing growing on one of my rocks. there is another smaller one growing on the other side of that same rock. what do you think this is?

    its got the coloration of a red chili sponge. if thats the type of sponge it is, then excellent free addition.

    cool! I'm excited because this is the first living thing in my tank ;D (well besides my "live" rock.) haha
    if it is this type of sponge, how big will it get?

    They can get about 6" tall but there slow growing,you'll know if it's a chili,sometimes they will puff up pretty big and has little feeders that come out(usually at night)you may want to spot feed him once in a while when the tenticals are out
