What is this?

    What is this growing on my cheato. The reddish tree thing in the center of the pic...has little branch like extensions.

    Aptasia. You need to get it out of there.

    It looks like aiptasia to me too

    Although it is hard to tell it looks like it could aiptasia. Poke it, if it disappears into itself it is aiptaisa.. Get rid of it if is post haste.

    Int he above pic, what is the green tubular stuff? I have just little bits and pieces in my nano. Good or bad?

    The dark green tubular stuff is chaetomorpha. It is a good nitrate and phosphate remover. The lighter green looks like a type of calcareous algae. It is also good and could become decorative.
