    I, personally would consider the hydrometer/refractometer to be pretty essential. But that's ok. :p

    Oh its very essential. Dont know what I did without it. Haha. But now Im the proud owner of a refractometer. A hydrometer seems like a waste of time in comparison to a hydrometer.

    Turkey baster, long tweezers, and solo plastic cups (for water testing, food defrosting... lots of stuff)

    Who needs a measuring cup? I just use my finger tip to put a drop of water onto the refractometer lens. lol.

    +1 on the turkey baster for sure. I use mine every time I do anything.

    A 4" chimmeny sweep for cleaning inside of skimmer that i cant get my hand in. The skimmer is an Esshops 100 in sump model, so it is 4" round but the neck is 2" and they dont come apart.
