+1. I personally, wouldn't suggest a tang for a 65. But if that is what you really want, there is the bristetooth tang.

Tank dimensions will determine swimming room. The amount of swimming room you have for fish will determine what fish I will recommend.

    Thanks. I missed this post.

Colorful, and less common. Let me see what I can find. Nothing comes to mind at the moment that isn't really big.

You can go with a flasher wrasse. They stay pretty small but are very colorful. I have a Kole Tang in my 65 who is doing well, but he is not as colorful as some of the other tangs.

full grown at 9 inches, yes its too big. If you buy fish when they're smaller, like the vast majority of people do, its perfectly fine. Fish grow to there surroundings, not at a rapid rate like sharks. Provided there's open room to swim around, 65 is definitely enough for a fox.

Saltwater fish do not grow to their surroundings. They will still grow to their full size as they would in nature. We may be changing their environment, but we cannot change genetics.

If you want to get a big fish...well that is your choice; I can't control what you do. But I would suggest removing the fish before it outgrows it's swimming space, or simply being a responsible fish-keeper and leave the big fish away from a small tank.

I went with a Flame Angel. I have always liked them and found a great specimen at my LFS. Sonar he is a model citizen. I have had him for two days and he is eating frozen brine and mysis.

    Here he is:
