I was just poking around with a flashlight, looking into dark spots in my rocks to see what I could see, and I spied a couple little anemones I hadn't seen before, not much bigger across than a pencil eraser, living up in dark holes in a piece of Timoran rock.

I hate to say it, but they resemble Majano a little, I think. But Majano don't hide in holes, do they?

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

Hard to tell from those pics but if I was to guess, I'd guess majano as well. What color is the anemone?

Color is kinda hard to determine. The pics came out better than I thought they would, and display the color about as well as I can see it in person.

They're in spots where they would be practically impossible to get at to remove. So if they are Majano, I'll just mix up a little reef epoxy, and seal them into their holes!

Sounds like a good plan of action to me. I've had them in my tank before and they are a royal PITA.

From what I've seen here on the forum and around the net in general it looks more like majano than aiptasia. I only say this because if you look at the picture you note the more stubby, rounded tentacles instead of the hairlike tentacles on an aiptasia.... I could be wrong though.

    Definitely not aiptasia.
