well if you picture your bta as being brown they actually do sort of resemble eachother. im thinking its a bta. if it has a rough textured base then it is not a bta. i cannot see the base in the picture and yes moby duck ritteri anemones often have more flowing tapering tentacles.

I'm also going off the base, if you look at the second picture and you compare it to the base of a bta they are different. My bta when it's hungry will stretch a bit and it's base looks kinda like a folded tortilla but a condy has a ball base and a long stalk and that's what the second pic looks like to me

yes and now i see that the tips are slightly pinkish, which leads me to definitely believe it is of the condy variety.

Ok,well i just got it now. Its acclimating and the picture does NOT show its colors! It is not a tank color like in the pic. Its a faded pink color then the tenticles are actually a flourescent greenish color with bright pink tips. I will definately get a pic up when I put it in the tank.

I think it may be a condy, either way it's a beautiful anemone.

yes once a nem is established it can change alls orts of ways. i once bought a gbta and within a week it changed into an rbta, boy was i happy sold it off for 4 times what i paid haha. would be pretty pissed if the effect was reversed however lol. we may be able to tell easier once the anemone gets acclimated.

Yea, I don't think its a Condy or a Sebae... to me it looks like a magnificent/Ritteri anemone. The tenticle don't taper at all, and the tips will sometimes bulb up a little. When it was really upset on the bag it folded into itself like the Ritteri nems do. And just the overall shape. It really looks to me like a Ritteri. Here is a pic of it when it settled into a crevis. It's so beautiful!

crap this nem is giving me a hard time, i agree i do not think it is a condy now as condy's tend to look more like large polyps and their tentacles never go close together like that at the mouth. i am going to say i think it may be a ritteri, however bubble tip still seems a likely explanation as well.
