Really hard to tell by this pic but it looks more like a goby of some sort. Can you post a better pic?

If it's been in hiding for that long and stays mostly in the rockwork it is more likely a goby than a blenny. Go to liveaquaria.com and look at their gobies. You might be able to see one that looks like yours. Sorry I'm not more help!

it might be some type of prawn goby but it is hard to tell without seeing the rest of the body.

Definitely looks like some kind of prawn goby. If you get him a shrimp friend he might not be so shy.

Pistol is good. Try placing the shrimp near the gobies hide out (repeatedly) in hopes they discover one another and pair up.

Goby for sure. I have a pistol who's goby died. I feel bad for him. No help in feeding like he had before. He has been gobyless for months though. I miss my yasha hashi!
