What kind of clam?

    Thanks! Our next step is to buy some turbosnail, starfish and hermit crabs.

    Thanks for the nice hitchhikers site! We've discovered many odd small things in our tank :p but this one was the oddest one 8)

    After looking again, I agree with cheryl, I had one in my tank for about a year before it finally died.

    But I'd research before you get many turbo snails or starfish. Turbos need a TON of food/algae to live and can be wrecking balls in a tank, and most starfish require really stable param's and alot are carnivorous and need target fed, and get really big.

    Yup, it's a Chama species, a kind of oyster. They're pretty common hitchhikers, harmless, and cool residents as far as I'm concerned!

    Aah interesting :) yesterday we found a very wierd worm with sparkles hairy "head", i'll try to get a pic of it soon
