What kind of coral is this and is there a name for it?

Yea when I had it down by the sand it was not happy at all but the spot I have it in now is off to the side kinda out of the range of the light a little so think maybe thats why its taking off. Id move it but its doing so good where its at figured id let it be. Will see if it goes down hill ill move it down. The one thing is mr goby likes to throw the sand bed around like a ball so maybe that was why it did not care for being down there.
