What kind of Crab is this? (round 2)

    I found another crab in my tank tonight. This little guy was just picking at the rock. I know must crabs are bad, but after watching this guy for a while he looked like he was just picking stuff off my live rock. He is about the size of a dime.

    Claws don't look right. I would place it in your fuge or sump.

    Contain/control it somehow as best you can. Sumpa are cool because you can hide most of your equipment in them plus they allow you to have a more stable environment in your tank.

    Bad crab. Probably a Xanthiid. I'd crunch it and feed it to a shrimp, if you have one in your tank.

    Or find someone with a hungry octopus, triggerfish, pufferfish, mantis shrimp, etc. If it isn't too large and you were local I'd even give you $1 for it. ;D

    stone crab (xanthid) (Its all in the shape of their carapace). I had to get rid of one, but it grew & hollowed out making tunnels through my LR. I though was cool. Wasn't easy to get him out.
