What Kind of Crab Is This?

Fish, these seem small and have the same leg placement as the porcelain crab in my tank, 3 back legs, 4th should be under their mouths with feelers on them to collect particles in the water, can you see their mouths? If you have just a FO tank and don't plan on adding coral you're probably good either way.

Maybe put them in a clear plastic tupperware lid with some holes poked in the top for a bit to see how they behave? If they turn green and bust their way out through the side like the hulk or something else bizarre it might be a good idea to get ride of them... 8)

 

Holy cow! I don't know how it was rude to ask why some one was removing animals from the ocean. How was I to know if he was licensed? If I was to ask Then people would complain "Why do you need to know if he's licensed?" Good grief.
Any ways it would depend on the fish you'd keep with it.

 

It's all good man, don't want to blow this outta proportion. I just thought it was kinda funny that for as long as I've had that permit, I've never once got questioned when I would take hermit crabs and shrimp (never tried fish) but it wasn't until I posted here on this forum that someone questioned taking wild life, when I didn't even intentionally take the crabs.

Anyway, again, thanks all for everyone's input/id'ng/help. The crabs are now in their "natural, wild environment" ;D as I put them back in the tidepool I found them.
