What kind of fish is this called

    Saw it at Petco and fell in love, but there was no sign or name next to it. Looks like a type of goby the way it was acting.

    I had the diamond watchman, this one is a dark red with horizontal stripes. It's weird. Mouth is much narrower than my watchman

    The head, eyes, coloration and body shape are very reminiscent of S. variegatus.

    Could be a barnacle blenny, but petco doesn't get in barnacle blennies.... nor lizardfish. lol

    I agree with both of these but the picture does not give profile. Looking at the pic fish looks sleek like a lizardfish but some hawkfish have similar coloration and pattern.. flip a coin
