I was thinking that too. Is it regular garlic?

For frozen, defrost in a cup of water with garlic extract, or fresh pressed garlic juice.

I dunno, but Kent Marine makes a garlic extract.

I wouldn't rely on it to do very much, though. The only thing it's really good for is to let fish know that the stuff you're putting into the tank is food. Fish have very big parts of their brain dedicated to smell, believe it or not, so unless they're super picky eater like a mandarin, once they're trained on any food that's garlic-ed, they'll recognize and react well to nearly any other food that's also garlic-ed.

also adds a boost to their immune system, increases their appetite. i use kent marine extreme garlic extract with vita-chem vitamins in every feeding. dont forget to mix up the food source so they dont get picky and only eat one thing cause that will lead to other problems down the road

get chopped garlic in water from the grocerey store. same exact ingredients (garlic, citrus acid and water) as garlic guard extreme, and waaaaaaaay more economical. just use the juice, not the garlic chunks.

Definitely get it from the grocery store. The kent marine stuff is the exact same just a lot more expensive.

They grow garlic with fertilizers. The garlic root takes in all of that and than you have no idea what you are putting into your tank... i believe the kent it all organic and is grown with no pesticides and fertilizers.

I agree on the Kent. I keep it refrigerated, and add only one drop with each feeding. At that rate it will last me just shy of forever. Easy to use too, as it includes an eye dropper as the bottle cap.

    Like Hiltonc57, I also use vita-Chem (3 drops).
