    You will hate yourself later on by using Crushed Coral take it from me I learned the hard way. Use Aragonite sand only for best results. IMO.

    That question will sound stupid but I just check out the marorocks sand It does not say if its live sand so is it? I tought the price was right and it looks good. Is it what you have in your tank?

    Any sand will turn into live sand once it gets the bacteria in it. My suggestion for you would be to purchase dry aragonite sand since it is cheaper and some base rock. Toss in a piece of cured live rock purchased from a LFS (local fish store) and boom, you just introduced some beneficial critters.

    It is not live, its dry. and yes, I just added another 40lbs to my setup - 5" DSB in the fuge and the extra 15lbs spread around the display
