Hey there, I'm new to the forum. I started a saltwater tank so I thought it would be a good idea to join;D

So today I went to petco to add a couple of more snails to my tank. I saw snails that they couldn't identify, and I asked the guy to sell them to me for the
price of the margaritas, and he did. I'd just like to know what kind of snail this is. thanks for the help!

Looks like a nassarius to me
    Nassarius Snail | Nassarius sp.

They will NOT eat algae but are carnivores that will eat left voer fish food that finds its way to the sandbed. They bury themselves under the sand and leave there little snorkel like nose out to smell the water. When I feed my tank they all come barreling out in stampede fashion, quite interesting honestly

Yeah I figured just as much. I told the Petco guy that, he said no he doesn't think that they were nassarius -_- lol

Yeah I wanted snails that would get into my sandbed, so that's why I picked these guys up with the intention of them being nassarius haha. Thanks for the help man!
