I bought this starefish from a LPS and told them what I had in my tank, that I wanted a friendly reef tank with friendly fish and corals, anemone. So I bought this starfish I asked if it was reef friendly I was told that it was, but I want to make sure, its been hanging out on my of my Zoa frags today, so Im just making sure, thanks

its a pinkish purple with white bands on its legs,

AT first I thought just the common red star which is harmless - but i noticed some knobbly bits and you said the tips are white?
I dotn think its choclate chip but it could be Red Tubercled Sea Star

Its just as bad tho, and will eat everything!

Good move - knobs on echinoderms=very bad for reef.

oh - quick question, do you use LPS to equal "local pet store"? You use that in lieu of LFS (local fish store) and not in some way referring to the coral type (LPS= large polyp stoney)?

What'd you get in exchange for it?
