What kind of worm is this?

    I found this worm in my tank. Doesn't look like a bristle worm. It has black stripes on one side of it. Looks pretty cool. Does anyone know what it is?

    i got one wit the exact same color accept its black with white stripes and i just came to the conclusion that if it dont hurt anything ima leave it in thier cause i never have found an id on it. gl

    well im trying to find an ID.. but cant seem to find one.:confused: ill keep looking.
    im guessing some type of tube worm? does it have segments? or is it smooth looking?

    umm actually its kinda like a tubeworm its not furry but at the end when its fully extended it looks almost like a featherdust comes out of it and he grabs little particles of the sand and eats somthing off it and then spits it out.

    looks like a tubeless feather duster maybe you scared it out of its tube. wen they come out of the tube they usually expel their frill or the feather part so the current doesnt take it away.

    It's just a harmless peanut worm, phylum Sipuncula. It's a detritus feeder that picks up food particles with a ring of short tentacles.
