I got him at petco about 8 months ago. I forget what they called it, I was wondering if its reef safe.
I also have a few of these purple mushroom lookin things. I have terrible lighting, just the fixture i used for my cichlid tank. If i upgrade to the t5's that i have on my wishlist do you think they will grow out more?
thanks in advance for the input!

That is a baby wolf eel and no it is not reef safe. If you did put the t5's on the tank it would make them grow more.

Aren't wolf eels cold water creatures? Often found in Alaska? They get huge and heavy!

If by "reef safe" you mean "won't eat crustaceans", then no, it's not reef safe.

If by "reef safe" you mean "won't eat corals", then yes, it is reef safe.

Thats what i thought... it doesnt eat at my LR and doesnt really have any teeth. I purchased two crabs that were far too larg for him to eat. hopefully they survive. they're doing good so far, been in there about 2 weeks

Oh yeah, as it gets bigger, it might eat any fish that'll fit in its mouth.
