As far as the free live rock, it will be coming from an established tank. He went from a 160g down to a new 120g so he has alot of extra rock. I also have another guy who has some extra rock that has been established in a tank for the last 10 years. That rock isn't free, but he says he has alot of unique cave pieces and will sell me cheep. He has it in some extra smaller tanks with power filters right now. I am supposed to go check out both there tanks this weekend. I will let you guys know how it goes.

The guy giving me the free rock is also selling an old 80g with a overflow for cheep, and a old 120. Kind makes me wish I had more room to do a bigger tank.

Also, with this tank only being 15" deep. Is 6x39wat bulbs going to be to much?

What about the 4 bulb version

Depends on what you want to keep, for SPS, it will work great. If you want fish, make sure you leave some shade areas and caves to hide in when they had their fill of the light.
