What lighting should I get?

Heya guys
I am finally done my exams! and I worked on my new setup for 3 days straight now and got everything done! (had to dismantle it a second time to get it leveled which is HELL). Just have a question about lighting!

I have a canopy top and I am not sure what kind of lighting I should use. If I get a fixture (leaning towards aquatic life hdi fixtures =D) Aquarium Metal Halide Lighting: AquaticLife HID/T-5 Fixture with Lunar Lights
how will it fit into the canopy? I am not quite sure how to mount it since the canopy will take of the leg space of the fixture. >.O

 

the light looks good. but what kind of tank are you running? dimensions? maybe a pic of the tank with canopy so we know what you are working with.

canopies can be tricky with fixtures. i would personally ditch the canopy and go topless. or do a DIY under the canopy to give you more control.

 

ASAP board is for tank emergencies. Moved to lighting.

 

I have an aquatic life fixture but if you have a canopy why not do a retrofit? btw. what size is your tank?
