Wondering why most people here choose to get into salt water. I never did freshwater, jumped right into salt and am very glad I did. My reasons were as follows in order of importance...
    1. Much cooler fish
    2. corals
    3. Much more of a challenge. This may sound crazy, but I really enjoy performing maintenance, cleaning the tank, keeping levels on par, making sure everyone is happy.

I remember growing up and dad had a SW tank. I remember the colorful crazy fish. Just a few years ago I stated up with the FW different sizes, then Cichlids, then SW. Plus the little ones really want nemo and dori./..

I guess I really want a successful reef tank like some of the ones here.
So now I have my 110 and I am building slowing and hopefully will get there with everyones help of course.

    \Cheers

I really like the colors of the fish and have always loved the ocean so why not have a mini ocean.

I don't get to Scuba Dive as much as I used to, so I wanted to bring the experience in a small way into my home...Since setting up my tank I'm amazed at all the details that you get to witness that you don't get to see when diving.

had freshy since i was a baby. tried saltwater befor but that was befor all the advances in marine aquarium technology.(dnt go so well). finnaly moved out of the parents house, and had a son of my own. so bought a tank to carry on the tradition.

kept everything threw out the years, so a reef was the next level.

What got me into salt was the colors and variety of creatures that you can pick from, not to mention that I love the ocean. I started out with FW and one day when I passed by the SW section my mouth hit the floor. All you heard out of my mouth was "WOW"......Ouuuuuu.......awwwww.........eeeeeee. Luna

Ever since I can remember I have been facinated by the ocean, but alas I am landlocked and dont have the ocean handy, so I thought I would bring it to me. It is such a great stress reliever too. I just love how peaceful (not to mention colorful) everything is. When I have a bad day I just watch the tank for a while and Ill feel better.
