Well they may start off at $400 or more. But look at the xbox360. its like $200 now.

Xbox and ps3 know, make little too no money on console, and screw you on the price of the games! hahahah

where as pc you can just pirate them! woohoo

I think $200 is really low but I would think something like $400 for the normal xbox/ps4. maybe $500-600 for a special package with games, extras, etc..... That would be my guess on prices.

The 360 has pretty ****ty hardware for today's standards. It'll be another 8 years or so until the next gens are so low. I'd bet the new system starts at $150-200 with a gold subscription though to encourage people to buy it - especially parents giving Christmas gifts. They do that already with the 360 for $100 at gamestop.

Also, pirating pc games is why pc games don't look that great now - they are made for consoles first and PCs second. This is why Crysis 2 took a big hit in the graphics department, etc. And the PS4 is miles away from a PC built with a 680 gpu as shown in UE4 demos so that means in the next 8 years or so we won't see too much of an improvement from that on PC. Though honestly I don't see much of a difference between pirating games and used games developer support wise. I'm sure if they charged $20 for new games that could not be resold, they'd make more in the end than they do now.

I disagree with you saying that PC games don't look that great. Battlefield, FarCry, etc........Even Crysis 2 which was patched with DirectX 11 and a Hi Res texture pack that was far above and beyond what you get on console. I have the game for my PS3 and PC and they are worlds apart. By the way, most PC games play multiplayer games which are nearly impossible to Pirate. I personally don't Pirate a game unless I'm not sure if I will like it. If I like it, I immediately uninstall and purchase the actual game. If I don't like it, I just uninstall it and don't have to worry about it. Also, games are much cheaper on PC if you catch them at the right time. You can often get 50% off of games on steam and origin, even the newest games. I saw not long ago origin was running a sale with most FPS games at 50 - 75% off. Also, by the time the PS4 actually launches, the 680 will be a year old and Nvidia's 7 series cards will be out already so it will already be behind. They are also using AMD processors which are already notorious for being inefficient.

Oh and another reason I PC game, is most of the little snot nosed kids can't afford to PC game. This alleviates me being schooled by 11 year olds.

Yup I do the same. I treat pirated stuff as a extended trail, if I like the game I always purchase it and support the developer. Just got tired of paying 50 to 60 bucks and getting ripped off with a crap game. There are also several PC only developers that I support 100%.
