    Hi all,

I am in the process of starting my first reef tank. I loaded the live sand and rock a few days ago. Last night, whilst looking into the empty tank, I saw the sand moving. so I looked into the area and found this weird looking guy burrowing.

I placed it on a rock to see if I could see the animal within, but it only seemed to move when I wasn't looking. It doesn't move very much, but when it does it can shift crushed coral, so I know it's alive, but have no idea what the hell it is. To look at, it looks like a piece of coral. Any ideas?

I'm guessing echinoderm of some sort.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
To throw something else into the mix, it almost looks like a bud from goniopora to me.
