What powerheads?

    I'm looking for two powerheads for my 75 gallon tank. I am new to the hobby. Have two in there now but I am borrowing them. I have some zoas and an blue angelfish currently.

    I'm following this one for myself...I am intrigued by the new maxijets with the 3-n-1 hardware (having a re-circulation configuation)
    ...those $1000 wavemaker thingies are outta reach for me

    IME Hydor Koralia are affordable and perform well. The flow is wide so they don't blast things like Maxi-jets do.

    I'm a huge fan of the Sicce Voyagers. They can stop and start without clicks so are great with wavemakers, their flow can be dialed down and they are very reasonably priced.

    I'm switching to the tunze powerheads from the koralia evos. I did not like them.

    As for flow, that really depends on what corals you want to keep. What are your plans coral wise?

    I'm not a big fan of zoas. But other than thy I'm not sure. Everything in my tank basically came with it.
