What salt mix do you use ?

    I mix IO and Oceanic 50/50. Very common mix in my area. The Oceanic has high calcium and trace elements while the IO lowers the overall cost and is very stable.

    I used Reef Crystals at one time, but had issues with the brown sludge in the mixing barrel.

    instant ocean for over 20 yrs . now i'm not into corals , but used others and no difference . imo....

    Well after two weeks or so of this poll it looks like Reef Crystals is the clear favorite.

    well I would say many poll's mean very little. this poll is not indicitive of what product is better, just what is popular- oddly enough- many things in this hobbie are based upon popularity, more so, then what is actually better.

    myself, considering the thousands I have spent on my tanks- I will buy the best salt money can buy, (what ever it may be ;)) it cuts down on maintence, and makes for a much better living enviroment for my critters.

    but if I could- I would only use filtered sea water- the best IMHO.
