What should I do with this refugium?

    It seems that it isn't a refugium at the moment. I would suggest plumbing it in with your tank and using it with macroalgae.

    DSB and Macro algae in the section on the extreme right as we look at image
    just make sure the flow going to that section is not to strong

    Actually it is plumbed to the display tank, just didn't show that picture, sorry. I was thinking of a dsb and chaeto in the first chamber as well; good to hear that's doable (there is a valve to adjust the flow to that chamber.) So should the middle chamber just be empty like that? Seems a waste just for a filter sock.
    Hey, how deep a sand bed should I put in there, should I use kitty litter instead?
