I did for less than a month. I said from the beginning that the first signs of it being stressed by it I would trade it though so first signs I did. As of now all I have is two clowns and a scooter blenny.

When I was doing my upgrade from my 46 box jan this year.... I took lotsa things into consideration. I could have gotten a 180 but maintaining this size of tank would have been too costly.

So I chose a 90. I knew I could really deck it out instead of having a big tank with hardly anything in it. Or taking years to fill it to my liking.

Forgive me on photo quality :)

30 gallon land hermit crab tank - on the balcony now, as they clamber about and fall over a lot at night
20 gallon - gold fish tank ( my son won 2 at a local fair and I went shopping)

    Show off! :)

I have a 90 and that's the number I had in mind. My system volume was dead on 100 gallons using this method with my old sump. I haven't gone through the process again with my new sump, but it's a 20 gallon long. I'm guessing total system volume is about 105 gallons or thereabouts now.

:yelrotflmI love the water change comment.

I've said if before and I'll say it again, the size of the tank is not the be all and end all. Granted there are some amazing huge tanks around a la David Saxby's and some of the German and Asian tanks but I was privledged to see a nano yesterday that was just breathtaking. I belonged to the guy who owns the map store next to my LFS. Eb has had this 20g tank set up for over 15 years and some of his fish have been in there that long. I wish that I had a picture to show you guys but it was just about perfect. I sat right beside him on his desk and from that vantage point anly 12-18 inches away, it was more impressive impressive than a lot of tanks 20-30 times that size. After keeping a nano flourishing for that long, I have a feeling that he knows a little bit about reefkeeping as well.

I also spend some time in the large tank forums on RC. My tank is one of the little ones over there. It's a lot better to be able to fill a 70g with corals and fish that you love than to barely be able to afford to put base rock in a 1000g.

180 now but when I move I may go a little smaller(space limited). I'm really digg'n the rimless starfire aquariums.
