So I'm getting my 40B drilled for a Bean Overflow system but I'm not sure on the best size plumbing. I have a bunch of 1.5" PVC around but I'm not sure if that's too big or not. I will be using a 20gal sump with the 40B. What do you guys think would be the best size to use?

With a bean overflow doesnt it say to use atleast a 1" I would say with a overflow you can always go bigger on the PVC and turn it down but you can go smaller and open it up. ;D

Yeah, I was thinking if I went with the 1.5" I could always tune it back. I was also thinking of going with the Danner Mag 12 for the return pump. There's about 4.5' of head for it to go against.

A mag 12 might be a bit much im sure a mag 9.5 would work just fine, I had a little giant on mine lol i couldnt turn it down enough I wouldnt empty my sump in a matter of mins.

You should be looking in the Mag 3-5 range. 9.5 to 12 would be way too much. I had a Mag 9.5 running a 125 and a 30, and the pump sill had to be throttled back to about 60%.
