I would go with 2 koralia 3's or even three. More, smaller powerheads are much better for your system than fewer larger ones

    Powerhead

They are great for water movement.

Yes run pumps while setting up tank.

If you use a powerhead you need 375gph or more on each unit.

If you use a water movement pump you'll need 1200gph at least IMO.

You want to turn your tank+any other water in sumps etc about every 6-10mins IMO.

    Good luck,
    Mike

The amount of flow should really be dependant on what corals you're intending on keeping in the tank. Koralia's seem to me to be pretty much the best powerhead for the money though unless you want something controllable.
One thing to keep in mind is that only having one powerhead means you may end up with a lot of flow in only one direction which can prove tough on some coral. Sometimes mixing it up a little bit is better so sometimes 2 smaller powerheads are better than one large one, depending on the details of course.

    many different ways Agent Jones

I like to have my 2 largest ones in the back corners both pointing towards centre of front glass - this gives me 1 area of high turbulance for corals that appreciate a lot of flow, and also quiter areas in the bottom front corners for corals that dont like to much fierce movement

I like that advice. Gives you more control over playing with flow to lose the dead zones.
