Trying a different stand, gonna go with steel tubing, powder coated.
What size do ya think I need for a 120 gal 48x48x12 tank, think 3/4 steel tubing is overkill?

Are you talking HSS? It will all depend on wall thickness and gussets that you put in. I would go with 1 1/2" to keep bracing to a minimum.

I went with a stainless stand once. I'll never use any type of steel on a stand again. The corrosion was a significant problem. I know you're powder coating it, but unless it's perfect and doesn't get scratched you'll get some corrosion seeping through.
