I like to recommend a little on the high side in terms of skimming. You can overskim, but it is pretty difficult. You really have to try. These are my recommendations in order of preference.

    **PM Bullet-2
    **ETSS 600XR
**AquaC EV240 (EV400 if you really want to get clean)
    **ASM G-3
    **Reef Octopus NWB-200

John, from all the ASMs I have seen I would take my tank of an Octo extreme hands down, esp now since they have been revamped. Bigger body, better neck and larger collection cup. I also prefer the Sicce to Sedra, or you can get ahold of CV and get the new bubble blaster pump which pulls crazy air, can you say move over Askoll?

Honestly Otty I have never really heard much good feedback about the Bullets aside from here... I am surprised there is no coning of the body or neck at all?

I know many think its a fad but the cone or even coned neck really makes a difference in the production of a strong thick foam head.

The Octo XP2000 cone is reprotedly pulling twice the numbers of the ATB, and way cheaper... I think ATB is lowering the price in the wake of other cones making a dent, namely the Itech the soon to be XP and others... They are no longer the sole king of the Cone...

Shouldn't knock one until you try it. I get so much nasty gunk out of the collector cup and container that it's not funny.

Wow!!! I have a lot to look into. This will take a bit of time to actually pull all these skimmers up. Let me do some research on your guys's recommendations. I see some repeats that I'm gonna look into first like Vertex'x, Octos, Bullets, Aqua C's.

Yep, looks good too. But the only reason I didn't mention it was that it is too much skimmer. At least my opinon. Bigger than my K2.

Honestly..... I see no advantage at all going with an injector type skimmer. AquaC and Bullets. I realize they skim. They have good bubble production and at least for the Bullets good quality..... But you need a big pump to run them right. Why waste all that electricity and heat when you can do the same job... in some opinions better..... with much less consumption?

The biggest difference I found between my EV-120 and my needlewheels....Truely set and forget. I don't touch them. Clean the cup out is the only thing they require from me. Can't say the same for my EV... and I have quite the opposite from a lot of Bullet owners.
