Oh I also have a Berlin Pro on my 45G. After putting a pump that is much higher than the recommended it works very well

Modified Skilter 250 in a 10 gallon tank. Works quietly and efficiently after modifications, with no bubbles (most of the time). See my post on how to do it in this section. I would not recommend it for anything bigger than a 10, though.

Aqua C Remora is an awesome skimmer for tanks 75 gallon or less. Tanks larger than 75 gallon, I would go with the Aqua C EV120 or larger. These are a higher priced skimmer but they are awesome. For a lower priced skimmer I like the Coralife and Berlin xl models. I'm sure there are many good skimmers on the market. It comes down to price and the type of skimmer you want ie. downdraft, venturi etc.

On my 230g tank I run an ASMG4X with the recirculating mod (have the gate valve but can't get it to work properly)
    On my 190g tank I run a BK 400ext.
    On my 44g cube I run a Deltec MCE600
    I don't skim my 24g, 20g or 12g nano's but do 50% weekly water changes.
