hi all, been away for a few weeks as my computer locked up!!!!

anyway its a simple question. in your opinions whats the best skimmer i should go and buy for under £100???
At present i have a 120 nano skimmer along with a sea clone.trouble is i have a 160litre tank, i cant get the sea clone working spot on and the little v2 is not up to the job(i use it as it came from my old river reef tank which was 90litre!:-/). i really want to ditch them all and get a decent one....
any feedback much appreciated. thanks all.

First ditch the seaclone!!!-- I prefer the Coralife Super Skimmer--I am running a 65 model on my 150gal tank and it is a workhorse--keeps up fine--I have to empty it a little more often but it also idles alot. That tells me it is keeping up. mine was about 130.00 USD

Well, with a 40g tank you have a few options. HOB varieties are OK at this level. Here are three ideas for you. The first one is the best, but may stretch your budget.

Aqua Medic Turbo Flotor 1000 Multi SL
    AquaC Remora Pro
    Octopus BH-100F

hey there thanks my fellow fisherman!!!!!! i got to confess that i may well be picking up one of them aqua medic turbos in the next few days, especially as ive just had a look at reviews of them. also, there not that far over my budget(especially on ebay!!). although i plan on getting a new tank soon, i notice that the aqua 1000 is over kill for my tank, so i just wondered, can you over skim a tank? thanks all,

yes i probably am thick but is this the same skimmer?? i have just seen it on e bay, may get myself a bargain...its a AQUA MEDIC MIDIFLOTOR PROTEIN SKIMMER.
would post a link but am not that computer literate!!!!!!

I don't think you can over skim.
