Yup, it is. I still haven't converted to this yet. Currently I use Seachem Reef Builder as my source of bicarbonate, Reef Calcium Advantage as my Calcium source and Epsom salt as my Mag source. Every week, I dose with Red Sea Calcium +3 to take care of a couple more trace elements.

I see a couple different Calcium's at this place... which one do you need? I guess a mix of some sort? Is there a guide somewhere on this?

I use Bulk Reef Supply it is by far the best for me, they have two different formulas depending on your PH my PH always tends to be on the low side so I went with the formula for a low PH. Once you get the two part solution take a test of your water params and then on there website they have instructions for the two part solution and it will give you the dosing amounts (the instructions are on the left side near the bottom it will say two part instuctions)

Weekly water change is ideal, and because of this additional supplements are not necessary, especially with softies.

I got help from my local fish store and my tank is fine. I have a 65 gal reef tank and I use the suplements as if it was a 50 gal tank. I use:
1 capful of Purple Up daily.
1 capful of Brightwell Liquid Reef (similar to the 2 part method) every other night.
1 capful of DT's Phytoplankton every other day.
1 capful of Brightwell Iodion every 4 days (it says twice a week)
1 bag of Phoslock and a bag of Chem Pure carbon in the sump.
    10 gallon water change bi-weekly
This works for me and you can see the White Leather Coral under my username is bright and healthy. But, I admit I'm a newer reefer and many of the hobbiests in this forum started long before Brightwell Aquatics was in business. Brightwell told me to get a small brine shrimp net and put my frozen food in there and run tap water through it. He assured me that the choramine will have no effect on the tank. This will keep the phosphates that are in frozen cubes out of your tank. Good luck!:cheesy:

i agree i have never dosed and believe a regular water change should give enough to our corals. i switched salts to a "better quality"(MORE$$$$) . my corals are healthy, bright and i could't stop the coraline algae growth if i tried.

Why are you dosing purple up and iodion??? What are your iodine levels?? If you don't know these, you should never dose purple up or iodion. Both products contain iodine and although they may help with coraline growth, iodine in elevated amounts can be VERY toxic to fish and I have never dosed it neither do any of the local reefers that I come into contact with and some of them have very successful tanks.
