The best set up would be to use a sump beneath the tank which would contain filter equipment e.g. skimmer, heaters possibly a fuge etc. Then the water would be pumped back up to the tank and in through the hole at the top of the tank and/or plumb the bottom hole as an inlet or it could be plumbed and used as a safety overflow. You would need to plum the return to the sump connecting to the overflow box in the 3rd pic.

$50? Wow thats a steal if it hold water. I agree with it already drilled for overflow you will want a sump or sump/fuge. What are the deminsions of the tank?

Not sure what size it is, looks like a 75 or 90g plexi tank, but at $50 thats a great deal. Have you tested for leaks? My only concern is that the overflow box seems kind of small, but I could be wrong. Having something in front of you and looking at a picture are two different exp's. Great score!!

Yeah, it appears to be a nice score on a plexiglass tank. 50 dollars is a steal for that. I don't think it is a commercially made tank, unless it is say a glass cages or similar tank.

What are the dimensions of the tank?
