what tank should i pic

    ok tomorrow is a big day for me i have two tanks to pic out of to start my first saltwater tank!!!ok i am in the middle of buying a 29 gallon hqi bio cube and then there is this 65 gallon tank on craigslist that i can get for 75 bucks...the thing is for this tank i dont know how to do the piping and all to hook up a sump and stuff what should i do and witch one should i buy please help!!!!!

    I have the following setup for sale. 65 gallon reef ready saltwater tank (36" x 18" x 24"). Tank is drilled once in the rear pane for a closed loop. Comes with a white stand (doors need painted). Also included: custom acrylic sump, Iwaki return pump, Mag pump for closed loop, and a 4 x 96 watt power complact light fixture (needs new legs). Some of the plumbing needs re-done

    ok thats the 65 gallon or should i just get a brand new 29 gallon hqi bio cube please tell me what i should do!!

    I would go with the 65 if you feel you can handle it, which isn't that hard with biopellets and a skimmers now adays.

    anyone can plumb a tank.

    no competition IMO

    The bigger the better, far more tolerance on parameters and they dot fill up as quickly
    as smaller ones do

    Get the 65,you can learn all you need and get advise on set up by reading here.If you decided to go with the 29,in not much time you would probably wish you had a larger tank.

    Definitely go with the 65. That's a good deal & doing plumbing + the sump shouldn't be too difficult. If you have questions, just ask. I have a 29g. I only have one fish in it, but my stocking list makes me wish I had a bigger tank.

    I have found out that a 29g reef will cost about $550(living in OH at least) & a 75g reef will cost somewhere b/w $1000-13000(dependent upon the lighting mainly).
